Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) officially launched its exclusive "HMT Kannadiga" watch collection. The unveiling took place at a grand event at the HMT Grounds in Jalahalli, Bengaluru, to commemorate the 71st Karnataka Rajyotsava.
Key Details of the Launch:
• Design & Cultural Pride: Designed specifically to celebrate Kannada identity, the watch dials feature Kannada numerals instead of standard digits. It also prominently showcases the Gandabherunda emblem (the royal insignia of Karnataka) and the yellow-and-red regional colors of the Kannada flag.
• Variants: The collection includes four distinct visual variants, with options ranging from silver and gold-tone metal chain bracelets to genuine Italian leather straps.
• Pricing: Positioned in HMT's premium category, the watches are priced between ₹3,500 and ₹3,600 (with an additional premium for certain Italian leather strap models).
• Availability: Unveiled by Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, the watches were showcased at the launch event but are marked as "Coming Soon" on the Official HMT Watches Website. They are expected to be available for purchase at HMT showrooms across Bengaluru very shortly.

• Styles & Configuration: The collection is split across eight new models designed to fit men and women of all age brackets. The variants are primarily categorised by their strap configurations—featuring either classic metal chain links or genuine Italian leather straps.
• Pricing Structure: The chain variant is priced at ₹3,600, while the leather strap option is available at ₹3,500 (with the standalone premium Italian leather strap valued at ₹450).
• Retail Channels: These exclusive timepieces are scheduled to hit the consumer market shortly and will be sold primarily through authorized HMT Showrooms.
