SMOPS-2023 was conducted by ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation)was conducted on June 8-9 in Namma BENGALURU

                           

The Conference was inaugurated by Shri S.Somanath,Chairman(ISRO)/Secretary(DoS)and other eminent Scientists/Technocrats in the Galaxy of Space Operations/Engineering,with the theme of ETAGS(Emerging Technologies and Automation in Space Mission Operations and Ground Segment)

                            

Theme of the Conference: Emerging Technologies and Automation in Space Mission Operations and Ground Segment

This conference is to associate and connect with the various space agencies, start-ups, industry and academia. The conference aims to bring in all space leaders together to share their views on existing technologies and its challenges, while previewing the state-of-the-art technologies that are being conceived globally to make space mission operations more secure and robust. The scope of the conference is to cover a wide range of topics related to mission operations management, advanced mission design, automation, large constellations management, present and future trends in ground station operations etc… while addressing the futuristic techniques in both upstream and downstream segments. This conference will provide a platform to boost the synergy between start-ups, academia, industry and space agencies; also provide the opportunity for users to interact with service providers.

ISRO has been doing incredible work in the field of Space Technology/launch-operations of Satellites and has put INDIA in the forefront of nations vying for greater vistas in the highly complex scientific scenario with AI & ML techniques heralding the race to improve Communications,Navigation(Air,Sea..)Weather/Agriculture Forecasting..

ISRO plans to launch a mission next month:CHANDRAYAAN-3 to put a Rover on the Moon.
