The 26th Annual Convocation of Ramaiah Institute of Management (RIM) was held on 25th November, 2022 at the MSRIT Campus in Namma BENGALURU

 The 26th Annual Convocation of Ramaiah Institute of Management (RIM) was held on 25th November, 2022 at the Apex Block Convention Hall of the MSRIT Campus

The graduating class of 2022 had 172 students. The chief guest for the occasion was Sri. Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director, Volvo Group, India. The dignitaries present were the Director & Trustee of GEF Shri. M.R. Anandaram, Chief Executive, Engineering & General Sciences, Shri. B.S. Ramaprasad, Chief of Finance, GEF, Shri. G. Ramachandra, Director-Academics, Research & Administration, RIM, Dr. Manasa Nagabhushanam and Registrar Evaluation, Dr. Savitha Rani Ramachandran.

The Convocation began with a procession. This was followed by an invocation song and the Ramaiah anthem. Dr. Manasa Nagabhushanam welcomed the gathering. The Honorable director, Sri M.R Anandaram declared the 26th Convocation open. The Dignitaries lit the lamp and paid floral tribute to the founder Chairman, Late Dr. M.S. Ramaiah. Dr. Manasa Nagabhushanam, presented the Annual Report highlighting the milestones achieved by the Institute during the year 2021-22 and administered the oath to the graduating class of 2022.

The Post Graduate Diploma Certificates were presented to all the students by the Chief Guest and the dignitaries. A scintillating medal and award ceremony was also part of the Convocation that recognized outstanding achievements in academic and co-curricular activities. Mr. Dhananjaya V was awarded the gold medal for academic excellence and the outstanding student of the batch went to Ms. Pooja Ohja.

                   

The Chief Guest delivered the Convocation address. He talked about the resilience of India in the post COVID era. He attributed this to a relatively young work force in India which has the required technological and digital skills, strong GDP growth, and the rapid development of infrastructure. He suggested combating today’s uncertainty by being adaptable and flexible to change. He suggested embracing sustainability by being economically efficient, in an environmentally friendly context. He suggested companies should be socially inclusive and foster a balanced culture that encourages innovativeness and growth. He emphasized the importance of ethical and moral values. He highlighted the need for competitors to collaborate with each other to foster sustainability, creating ecosystems where large companies collaborate with start-ups to drive innovation and change. He concluded the speech with a Quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

                        

The Chief Executive, Shri. B.S. Ramaprasad delivered the Presidential address. He highlighted the way the GEF guides and develops future leaders by collaborating with its sister institutions. He also highlighted how the Ramaiah Evolute (cross disciplinary start-up ecosystem) serves as an innovative platform for students to provide solutions for the wellbeing of the society.

Sri M.R Anandaram, Director RIM, declared the 26th Convocation closed. The Convocation ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Savitha Rani Ramachandran, Registrar Evaluation, RIM, who thanked the guests and the RIM fraternity for their commendable efforts to make the event a grand success. This was followed by the National Anthem.

The Graduating Class this year have performed a Stellar Job with 100% placement,bringing accolades to the Institution and the Country.
