FIGSI held a Seminar with the theme "Challenges & Opportunities of Dimensional Stone Industry"at the ITC Windsor Manor,one of the finest/oldest 5 Star Hotels in Namma BENGALURU.Highlights:

Mr S.Krishna Prasad,General Secretary,FIGSI and saw the Who's-Who of the Granite / Stone Industry participating and included officials from the State Govt;TradeAssociations,Importers/Exporters,Engineers/Experts from the Mining Industry,Businessmen..

*The Interactive Infosessions conducted/discussed & deliberated Policy matters & support from the Govt which the Industry requires:

#1. The need for allowing free import of Granite under OGL,to mitigate the problem of shortage of raw material.

#2.The urgent need for simplification of Environment Clearance Certificate procedure.

#3.Reduction of GST to 5% on Blocks and 12% on slabs & tiles. 

#4.Royalties to reduced to match with Global rates of 3-4 %.

                     

The STONA Trade Fair/Expo/Seminar will be held from 9-12 Feb 2023 at the BIEC in Namma BENGALURU.           

                   

The STONE MART Expo/Seminar/Trade Fair will be held from 17-22 Feb 2022 in Jaipur,Rajasthan.
