‘ASHVA MEDHA’, Perceptions 2021 the National Intercollegiate Management Festival of Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bangalore.

 Ashva Medha, Perceptions 2021 was held on 6 April, 2021 virtually at Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bangalore. The fest has been an eagerly anticipated annual event. This year also it was held with enthusiastic participation by students from many reputed B-Schools including Acharya Bangalore B School, Christ University, KLEs Institute of Management, Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, EIILM, BITS MERSA, MATS Institute of Management, KLEs IMSR,MS Ramaiah College of Arts, Science; Commerce, REVA University, etc.

This year’s theme was ‘Ashva Medha’. Ashva means ‘horse’ which signifies courage, freedom,powerful spirit & stamina and Medha means ‘intellect’. Ashva and Medha put together, signifies the one who is an intellect with a powerful spirit.

The fest began with an inaugural program by invoking the blessing of the almighty followed bylighting of the lamp and offering floral tribute to our Founder Chairman Late Dr. M S Ramaiah.

Dr. Manasa Nagabhushanam, Director (Academics Research and Administration) addressed the gathering and highlighted the undying spirit of students and faculty of the Institute in executing key events like this during the pandemic. Mr. Harsha Jith Umpathy, CEO Aris Bioenergy,Mumbai was the Chief Guest of the inaugural function. He covered Green energy and eco-startups in his address. He also stated that till 2050 India would be carbon neutral. In his talk he highlighted seeking opportunities and soliciting funding for eco startups.

The one-day virtual fest was packed with several management and non- management events in key areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations and Analytics. Some of the events conducted were Best leader, Best Management team, Business Quiz, Call of Duty, Reel making, Mad Ads, Photography, Solo singing, and Solo dance. 204 participants from various colleges had to go through several grueling rounds to reach the finals and the best teams earned top honors. The judges were from academia and industry.

All these events were well attended. Perceptions 2021 received sponsorships in both cash and kind. The one-day virtual festival culminated with the Prize distribution ceremony with JGI  MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship College, won the overall championship award.
